CM Vishnu Deo Sai pitches state’s strengths at Osaka Investor Connect
Chhattisgarh: On his recent official tour to Japan, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the prestigious Investor Connect Program in Osaka, where he highlighted the state’s growing investment opportunities.
Addressing global business leaders, the Chief Minister described Chhattisgarh
as “a strong confluence of natural resources, skilled human capital, and
industry-friendly policies.”
Strong India–Japan Relations
Sai underlined the deep trust and shared values that bind India and Japan, urging Japanese investors to become partners in Chhattisgarh’s growth story.
He emphasized that collaboration with Japan
could bring innovation, prosperity, and sustainable progress to the state.
Major Investment Proposal
During the event, Osaka-based Sartaj Foods expressed interest in setting up a food processing unit in Chhattisgarh with an investment commitment of USD 11.45 million (₹100 crore).
The
project is expected to strengthen the state’s food processing sector, generate
large-scale employment, and open new opportunities for farmers.
Boost to Agriculture and Economy
The Chief Minister noted that this initiative
will further consolidate Chhattisgarh’s agriculture-based economy, while
creating pathways for farmers to connect with modern markets and technologies.
High-Level B2G Meetings
As part of the summit, Sai also held Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings, including a detailed discussion with Naoyuki Shimada, President of Morabu Hanshin Company, a leader in engineering, system development, and workforce solutions.
The talks explored avenues for
collaboration in advanced technical expertise and workforce training.
Focus on Youth & Skills
Special emphasis was placed on skill training and workforce exchange programs, aimed at equipping Chhattisgarh’s youth with global opportunities.
The CM stressed that strengthening the state’s
skill ecosystem would not only meet international standards but also enhance
employability at home and abroad.
Chhattisgarh’s Competitive Edge
Officials highlighted the state’s inherent
advantages—
- Abundant mineral wealth,
- Active single-window clearance system,
- Robust industrial infrastructure, and
- A highly investor-friendly environment.
These factors, combined with ongoing reforms
and incentive policies, position Chhattisgarh as one of India’s most attractive
destinations for global investors.

Japanese representatives praised the state’s
policy environment and expressed keen interest in exploring investment
opportunities in food processing, advanced technology, and workforce
solutions.
